Day 1 - Airport / Colombo

Arrive the Airport and meet our representative. Accompany him to a hotel in Colombo. CITY & SHOPPING The City Tour will include places of Tourist interest such as Old parliament, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Independence Square, Buddhist Hindu Temple and Town Hall. Shopping at Odel, House of Fashion, Bare foot etc. at Colombo Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Colombo.


Day 2 - Colombo / Pinnawala / Anuradhapura

After breakfast, leave for Anuradhapura. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. ELEPHANT ORPHANGE The foster – home of elephants of different age and size feed, bathe, play together and even mate. These great animals have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. Now they even breed in captivity. Next visit Cave Temples of Dambulla, CAVE TEMPLE DAMBULLA In the 1st century B C a king of Anuradhapura fled the city due to a South Indian invasion and took refuge in the caves of Dambulla. On recapturing Anuradhapura after 13 years, the king converted the caves in to monastery and gifted it to the Buddhist monks. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Anuradhapura.


Day 3 - Anuradhapura / Mihinthale

ANURADHAPURA Anuradhapura was the first Capital of Sri Lanka and it is also referred to as the Cradle of Buddhism since Buddhism was first preached officially at Mihintale in Anuradhapura.The city that was founded in the 5th century B C has many monuments related to Buddhism and The culture of Sri Lanka. Next MIHINTALE Where Buddhism was officially introduced to a king of the 3rd century B.C. Today it is very popular with Buddhist pilgrims and tourist the complex consists of rocks caves ponds and stupas. First monastery of Sri Lanka and the worlds first declared sanctuary. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Anuradhapura.


Day 4 - Anuradhapura / Polonnaruwa / Sigiriya

After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. POLLONNARUWA The Cholas (An Indian Race) who overran the city of Anuradhapura destroying it to a great extent settled in the village of Polonnaruwa. A Sinhalese king from the Southern part of Sri Lanka liberated it from the Cholas and made it the second capital of Sri Lanka. Check in Hotel. returning to Sigiriya. En route SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS A Prince of the 5th century who committed patricide made the rock of Sigiriya his hideout in order to stay away from his half-brother who sought vengeance. This prince Kasyappa by name, not only fortified his stronghold but also added to it artistic beauty. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Sigiriya.


DAY 5 - Sigiriya / Kandy

Leave for Kandy. En route Visit Cave Temple at Dambulla. Next SPICE GARDEN Visit a spice garden at Matale, where spices used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication are grown. p.m city tour of Kandy including Upper Lake Drive. Visit art and craft center and Gem Bureau where you will be shown a documentary film on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.


Day 6 - Kandy / City Tour

After your breakfast, you will be cruising on a sightseeing tour of Colombo. You will drive through the commercial and city centre area “Fort”, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. A highlight would be a visit to the bustling and colourful markets and bazaars of Pettah, the National Museum with its fine collection of lovely antiques. You will be driving past Town Hall and the Independence Square. Following the city tour of Colombo, you will be driven back to Colombo airport for your onward flight with happy Sri Lankan memories.


Day 7 - Kandy / Nuwara eliya

After Breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya. BOTANICAL GARDEN En-route visit the Botanical Garden Peradeniya. Which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime. This gardens; one of the best in Asia is a place of beauty and site for bird watchers. Leave for Nuwara Eliya by train. You will meet by the chauffer guide at “Nanu Oya” Station and transferred to the Hotel at Nuwara Eliya to continue with tour. NUWARA ELIYA Nuwara Eliya also known as Little England is where the homesick British (The Tea Planters) built themselves a home away from home. A touch of old England could be experienced by taking a drive through the city. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.


Day 8 - Nuwara eliya / Horton Plains

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Nuwara Eliya. HORTON PLAINS Located in the highest plateau of Sri Lanka at an elevation of 7,000 feet above sea level. Usually the plains are visible before 10 a.m. as otherwise the mist covers the view. The highlight of the Plains is the terrific escarpment which drops vertically for about 1,000 feet. On a very clear day, one could view the east horizon too. Rare species of fauna and flora are found here. This Plain was once the hunting ground for the British Governor Mr. Farr. Today the home of Mr. Farr has been turned into a Rest House and is called “Farr Inn”. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.


Day 9 - Nuwara eliya / Yala

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Yala. En route stop at Ella Grand Motel to enjoy the view of the famous ella gap, Also view the beauty of the Ravana Falls as you descend to the low lands. Next visit Buduruwagala. BUDURUWAGALA. The rock carvings of Buduruwagala are believed to be over a Thousand years old. There are seven figurers carved in high relief on a Rock that rises beyond the stream and the tallest one is of the Buddha, which is 51 feet tall. p.m. at leisure Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Yala.


Day 10 - Yala / Safari

Breakfast at Hotel. a.m. at leisure p.m. Safari in National Park YALA NATIONAL PARK visit Ruhunu National Park at Yala. This will include a Safari tour by jeep with a jungle tracker, where you can see animals in the Jungle; including elephants, Bears, Wild boar, Dear, Buffalo, Monkeys and many other animals if you are lucky, leopards too. You also could see different types of birds. It’s a small experience for bird watch lovers. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Yala.


Day 11 - Yala / Galle / Benthota

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Bentota. En route Visit Dutch Fortress. Visit Dutch Fortress. CITY OF GALLE Galle is one of the ancient sea ports of Sri Lanka and was an anchor point in the Silk Route. It was later discovered by the Portuguese where they built a fortress and the Dutch that succeeded them fortified it further. This fortress is today a World Heritage Site. Next River Safari in Madhu Ganga BOAT SAFARI The Boat Safari on the River Madhu is something that words would not justify. The primitive Life Style of the inhabitant of the islands of the Madhu River is only a boat ride away. The boat ride that takes you through the thick mangroves, The bird life around, the primitive style of Fishing and prawn trapping still practiced by the inhabitants of the islands will reveal to you another facet of splendid Sri Lanka. Next visit Turtle Hatchery. TURTLE HATCHERY Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to, incubate by the heat of the sun. What often happens is, the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them. But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and are hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas where the Birds don’t have a chance of picking them up and the babies are let in to the sea after two days at night time which offers them a better chance of survival. Day 12 - Benthota or Beruwala

Breakfast at Hotel. BEACH STAY p.m At leisure – Beach Stay with many choices of spending your time. Leisurely strolling on the Golden Beaches enthralled in the magical atmosphere. Lazing on a Sun deck reading a book of you choice, and sipping a cool fresh tropical fruit drink of pineapple, Mango, Banana. Water skiing, Wind Surfing, Snorkeling or cutting through the choppy on a jet water scooter and much more…. Dinner and Overnight stay at Emerald Bay Beach Hotel – Beruwala.


Day 13 - Benthota or Beruwala

Day 14 - Benthota or Beruwala / Airport
